MATS University Students Shine at 10th India International Science Festival (IISF) 2024 Media Conclave at IIT Guwahati


The Department of English at MATS University is proud to announce that four of its students—Radhika Sahu, Disha S. Madhavan, Manisha Parida, and George Horo with Assistant Professor Rukhsar Parveen participated in the Media Conclave held during the 10th India International Science Festival (IISF) 2024. The prestigious event took place from 30th November to 3rd December 2024 at IIT Guwahati, bringing together young leaders, innovators, and key stakeholders from the realms of science, technology, and media.

The IISF Media Conclave provided a unique platform for students to engage with renowned scientists, media professionals, and industry experts. This opportunity allowed the MATS University students to interact with some of the brightest minds in the field of science communication, gaining invaluable exposure to the latest developments in research and technology in India. Their participation underscored the crucial role that effective science communication plays in making scientific knowledge more accessible and impactful to the public.

Ms. Rukhsar Parveen, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, expressed her excitement: “We are thrilled to be part of this event organized under the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative, where our students had the opportunity to interact with the best minds in science communication. The India International Science Festival (IISF), organized annually by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, brings together a diverse community of scientists, researchers, students, and professionals. The Chancellor Shri Gajaraj Pagariya, Vice Chancellor Dr. K.P. Yadav, Pro VC Dr. Deepika Dhand, Director General Shri Priyesh Pagariya, and Registrar Shri Gokulananda Panda, along with the faculty of the Department of English, congratulated the students on their successful participation in this prestigious event.
