Event summary / outcomes:

MATS University was set to swing to ‘Garba and Dandiya beats’ along with the delicacies of ‘AnandMela’ on 30^th September 2022 with great fun, franticness and with religious fervor. The Navratri festivities, organized by MATS School of Engineering & I.T & MATS Law School, ushered in grand celebrations after two pandemic-hit years at the University campus. The renewed energy was palpable this year.The Garba Competition started with lighting of lantern and puja rituals of Goddess Durga by all the Principal, HODs, faculty members and students of the respective departments of Aarang campus. The whole atmosphere at Aarang campus of the university unified to create a snap, clap, twirl style while performing the Garba events. Dr. ParvinderHanspal, Dr. A.J Khan & Dr. Sangeeta Shroff were the judges for the event which fetched the cash prizes for the participants of the Garba event. Best Dance Performance was given to Ms. SnehaDewangan (B. Tech Aero) & Best Dress-Up was given wo Ms. ShrishtiSahu (B. Tech Civil). Dr. Abhishek Kumar Jain (MSEIT) and Mr. Prashant Kumar (MLS) felicitated the Winners. AnandMela, an activity initiated by the University students was also the event’s great attraction. They came up with different stalls (Food stalls, Game stalls etc.) and entertaining and hands-on activities.
