Event summary / outcomes:

School of Engineering & IT, MATS University, Aarang Raipur has organized Poster making competition on the occasion of Human Rights Day. The Human Rights day was celebrated with motivational lecture by Principal (I/C) Dr. Abhishek Kumar Jain. Student actively participated in the program. They displayed their creativity, team work and presentations skills in the program organized on 10^th December 2022.

The objective of the program was to create awareness about human rights and develop ability and project presentation skills in students. The Theme for Human Rights Day 2022 is “Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All”

Importance of this day was discussed with students by resource persons and professors. The day is extremely important as human rights are inalienable. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more.Fundamental Rights safeguard citizens’ liberties and freedoms against state invasion and prevent the establishment of authoritarian and dictatorial rule in the country. They are important for the overall development of individuals and the country.
The students participated in the poster making competition and explored and gained knowledge about fundamental rights of citizen.
