Event summary / outcomes:

MATS School of Engineering & IT celebrated Hereli Festival on 28th July 2022. The folk festival of ‘Hareli’ shows the importance of agricultural tradition and the environment. It is considered to be the first festival of the year in the region. After the sowing of paddy, the farmers worship all the agricultural and iron tools on the day of Hareli.On this occasion Dr Brijesh Patel, Principal MSEIT, MATS University Raipur planted Neem plant. All the faculty, staff and students were present during the plantation event. Dr Brijesh Patel, Principal MSEIT address the gathering and speak about importance of Hareli festival and plantation and pray for a good harvest and health.After plantation Gedi competition and Matkaphod competition was organized in which all the students, faculty & staff of Aarang campus participated. Event was completed with distribution of prices.
