Event summary / outcomes:
School of Engineering & IT, MATS University, Raipurhas successfully organized ‘Ganesh Puja Celebration’ from31th August 2022to 09th September 2022 in Aaryabhatta BlockAarangMATS University. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva and the son the Goddess Parvati, Ganesh Ji is worshiped before all the deities. Lord Ganesha is worshiped first before doing any auspicious work. Ganesh ji is also knwn as Ganpati because he is the God of Ganas and his vehicle is mouse. In astrology, Ganesh ji has been called the God of Ketu. On the last day of the festival, the tradition of Ganesh Visarjan takes place. The concluding day of the 10-day festival is also popularly known as ANANT Chaturdashi. As the world ‘Visarjan’implies, on this day immersion of lord Ganapati’s idol takes place in a river, sea or water body. On the day of Visarjan organizing ‘Bhanadara’ for all staff and students.The program began with a well – informed and motivating address by our Honorable Vice – Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) K.P. Yadav sir highlighting the academic / industrial efforts in this modern era of science and technology. And encouraged students and teachers presented there to devote themselves to the innovation and research in technical field. Dr. Abhishek Jain Principal MSEIT, also addressed to young budding engineers towards skill advancement. Along with him many other dignitaries which included Prof. Dr. ParvinderHanspal director of MSED, Prof Dr. A J Khan Principal MATS College, marked their presence on this auspicious day. The entire puja celebrations was conducted and coordinated by Department of Mining Engineering of MSEIT.
