As a part of our social responsibility towards the poor and unprivileged peoples of our country we run an annual Social movement called ANNAPOORNA, which is a clarion call to all individuals and organizations who would like to make a difference to the life of others. As an individual we may not be able to bring high impact on society development and upliftment but together we can change the lives of masses ... and it is possible. MODEL VILLAGE GULLU

MATS University is one of the renowned and emerging universities of state Chhattisgarh, which is situated in central India.

“…we believe that a university is not an ivory tower. It is a social enterprise, with obligations to the society that supports it.

Scholarship need not be carried out in splendid isolation. Universities themselves will benefit if they work on crucial issues affecting their local communities, such as public health and education, challenges of urban or rural living, climate change and agricultural production, and the development of civil society.”

We aim to improve quality of life by promoting innovative solutions that challenge mainstream thinking on economic, environmental and social issues. We work in partnership and put people and the planet first.

However, benefits for individuals, society and the economy stretch way beyond these more obvious outcomes. Broader benefits that are delivered by higher education, such as better health and student volunteering in local communities, also have a societal value. By overlooking such contributions we are currently underestimating the value of the University for Society Welfare. That’s why we believe that a university should adopt one of the villages and work towards the betterment of the village which directly or indirectly helps the society belong to the village and Mats University come under the Gullu village so Mats University should adopt the Gullu village and help the village to become the adarsh village for the society.

The central aim of any university is to enrich knowledge and understanding through education and research. Their success in achieving this objective is most frequently judged on impacts to the labour market and scientific innovation, captured through financial returns to students and economic benefits to society as a whole.
